A delegation of the Moroccan-British parliamentary friendship group began Tuesday, April 24, 2018 a working visit to London. The visit is initiated by the Council of the Moroccan community abroad (CCME).
Accompanied by Ms. Souad Talsi, CCME member and President of the Al Hassaniya Center in London, the delegation, visited the Moroccan Garden of the British capital and the Grenfell Tower victims where a minute of silence was observed.
The delegation, will have meetings with local and elected officials from the Kensington & Chelsea Town Hall notably Labor MP Khalid Mahmoud (representing the Perry Barr constituency, Birmingham, central England).
The program also includes meetings with several British MPs, Secretary of State for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt and the former Lord Mayor of the City of London.
The visit of the Moroccan delegation, led by MP Salaheddine Abou El Ghali and composed of MPs Hassan El Hariss and Leila Ahkim and the President of the British Chamber of Commerce in Morocco Mohamed Raihani, aims to fasten the friendship and cooperation between the legislative institutions of the two countries.
