Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), met with a delegation of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on 22 February 2017 at the Council. The delegation was chaired by Ms Ana Fonseca, head of mission of the organization in Rabat.
The secretary General, Mr. Boussouf explained the CCME’s missions and its activities as an advisory body exclusively in the field of migration. He also said that the main objective of the meeting was to find ways of collaboration and joint action between the CCME and IOM.
In his speech, Mr. Boussouf stressed that the Moroccans living abroad, have accumulated experience and expertise in the countries where they live so they can contribute to the integration of migrants in Morocco and play an important role in their regions of origin.
Both parts sais they were convinced that migration is a wealth and that the protection of the rights of Moroccans living abroadod must befollowed by the protection of the rights of migrants in Morocco.
At the end of the meeting, the CCME and IOM agreed to establish a sustainable partnership to develop their collaboration on migration and ensure the strengthening of the contribution of the Moroccans living abroad to the advancement of the Moroccan Kingdom.
CCME
