CCME: History book in the works tracing back the journey of iconic historical figures

Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) has received, Tuesday, May 26 at the Council headquarters, Moroccan historians and researchers in order to produce a book tracing back the Moroccan identity through the course of iconic historical figures of Morocco.

The objective of this work will be to highlight the dimensions of diversity and plurality in the Moroccan personality. An opportunity, according to participants in the meeting, to enrich the Moroccan cultural offer and show to, young Moroccans abroad and the world, the openness and tolerance of Morocco.

"We have the ambition to have this pedagogical work in European libraries and to contribute to the globalization of the Moroccan culture," said Mr. Boussouf at this meeting.

The book will follow the journey of a number of figures who have marked the history of Morocco in the fields of literature, religion, science, politics or diplomacy as Mokhtar Soussi, Ahmed Tijani, Ben Abdellah Aisha, Ibn Mimoun, etc.
