The CCME endorses the project "Light Us"

The Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) endorses in partnership with the "MIPAI" (The Moroccan Intelligence and Public Affairs Institute) the project "Light Us" (Enlighten Us) carried out by two young Moroccans living abroad, Zacharia Saha and Ayoub Makhloufi.

The intent of the project « Light Us », approved by the Scientific Committee of the COP 22, is making the citizens aware of the united Nations sustainable development agenda and global agreement on climate change labeled the « 17 Goals to Transform Our World ».

The trip of the lamp begins in Paris and ends in Marrakech in electric and hybrid cars : "We wanted to show that it is possible to travel without contaminating the wolrd we live in," says Zacharia Saha in a statement to the popular French newspaper «Le Parisien ». 

The illuminative device « Light Us » will be unveiled  in a symbolic Olympic relay during the COP 22 which will take place in Marrakech from 7 to 18 November 2016. 

The CCME will work side by side with this world event  in an the institutional space devoted to the Moroccan skills living abroad. 

Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, the Secretary General of the Council,  said during a meeting with the members of the team of "MIPAI" that "the CCME has never departed from its main mission which is to grant the skills and influence of the moroccans living abroad ».
