The CCME awarded by the minister of culture at the international Casablanca book fair

Mr. Mohamed Laâraj,  Minister of Culture and Communication, awarded Saturday, February 17, 2018 the trophy of excellence to the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) the brightness of it’s program at the 24th edition of the International Casablanca Book Fair. 

The delivery of the trophy took place during an evening organized by the CCME celebrating the young Moroccans living abroad. 

Mr.Mohamed Laâraj congratulated the CCME for it’s efforts to publish Moroccan skills abroad and the relevance  of it’s mission in the cultural development of Morocco.  He said that the shedule of the CCME, which deals with different issues regarding the Moroccans around the world, has been of a high quality.

For his part, Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the CCME, focused on the efforts of the Council to highlight the contribution of Moroccan skills abroad in the development of host and origin societies. He said the tribute given tonight to young Moroccans of the world is a source of Morocco’s pride for his youth.

He added that the presence of Moroccans around the world in the Book Fair shows their eagerness to be part of diversified development projects  and that Morocco sees its community abroad as an essential leverage for the development of the country.

Ten young Moroccans were honored :  the footballer Abdelhak Nouri, nicknamed Appie, Ajax player from Amsterdam, the artist Meriem El Filali, the two Moroccan entrepreneurs in Dubai Mohamed Amine Belarbi and Mohamed Zakariae El Khdime, the Moroccan actor in Germany Mimoun Berrissoun and the Moroccan-Ivorian comedian Tahar Lazrak aka Oualas. A special tribute was dedicated to Fire Noureddine Karam, a Moroccan journalist living abroad.
