His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Commander of the Faithful, may God assist him, chaired on Wednesday 13 July 2022 a Council of Ministers whose agenda included the submission to His Majesty by the Interior Minister on the measures prepared in accordance with the High Royal Instructions on the establishment of the Commission for the Moroccan Jewish community Abroad.

The measures presented to His Majesty included the Commission of Moroccan Jews Abroad, which aims to "consolidate the ties of Moroccan-Jews living abroad with their country of origin, to strengthen their cultural and religious influence and defend the supreme interests of the Kingdom".

The Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) welcomes the vision of the Commander of the Faithful, wise guardian of the rights of Moroccans around the world, and regards this initiative as another step in consolidating the ties of Moroccan Jews of the world with their rich Moroccan identity and providing a tool that will enable Moroccans of Jewish faith to support the causes of their homeland and to defend its supreme interests.

The CCME recalls having organized a conference dedicated to Moroccan Jews around the world in the city of Marrakech, November 2018 on the theme: "For a shared Morocco", in which nearly 300 members of the Moroccan Jewish community around the world participated, which received the high patronage and special attention of His Majesty the King, Commander of the Faithful.

May God preserve His Majesty the King, wise and far-sighted guarantor of the rights of Moroccans around the world, as well as Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and all members of the Royal Family.
