Under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the city of Oujda will host the 4th edition of the Maghreb Book Fair "Letters from the Maghreb" from 17 to 21 April 2024, under the theme "Writing and Time".

This regional event is being organized by the “Oriental” Development Agency, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Wilaya of the Eastern Region, the Regional Council, the Oujda Municipality, Mohammed Premier University, the Regional Academy of Education and Training, and the Moroccan Foundation for the Promotion of Pre-school Education.

Mr Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) was received, Wednesday 28 March 2024, by Ms Namira Negm, Director of the African Migration Observatory.

Mr Abdellah BOUSSOUF, the Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), hosted, on 5th February 2024, a meeting with an Italian delegation from the University of Rome III. The aim being to implement a framework for a Moroccan cultural institute within the Italian university.

Mr Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) and Mr Ricotti Paolo, President of Patronato ACLI (Italian workers' association), signed a partnership agreement in Rabat on Thursday 6 July 2023 to promote reciprocal knowledge and a cultural exchange between Morocco and Italy.

In partnership with the council of the Moroccan community abroad (CCME), Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) hosted on January 9, 2023 in Rabat, a consultative meeting with Moroccan experts living abroad on the education system reform, the training and the Scientific reform.


In his speech at the opening of this meeting, which was attended by dozens of Moroccan academics specializing in education and scientific research in various international universities, the president of UM6P, Hicham El Habti, stressed the importance of reform in order to achieve the major objectives of the Kingdom. He added that Moroccan youth need opportunities and prospects for progress.

Mr. Habti also said how grateful he was to the Moroccan experts abroad for their contribution to the activities of the UM6P.

For his part, Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the CCME, expressed his appreciation for the support and partnership work that the UM6P offers to Moroccans around the world and to the CCME, which remains driven by the need for permanent and in-depth reflection with a view to implementing public policies based on knowledge. This is particularly true with regard to the expectations of Moroccans living abroad.

Mr.Boussouf also added that this meeting is inspired by the guidelines of the Royal speech of August 20 last year, where the Sovereign called for the creation of bridges and channels of communication with Moroccan skills abroad.

On the sidelines of this meeting, coordinated by the researcher Mohamed Ben Salah, a cooperation agreement was signed between the CCME and the UM6P in order to promote the involvement of Moroccan competences in a spirit of consultation and collaboration in the fields of scientific research, culture and digital development.

At the conference on water scarcity held on Friday, October 21 2022, in Benguerir, Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, secretary general of CCME has called for the creation of an agency dedicated to Moroccan skills established abroad in compliance with the recommendations of the Special Commission on the New Development Model.

The Council of the Moroccan Community -Living- Abroad (CCME) and the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic are organizing, October 21st 2022, in Benguerir, a scientific conference on “Water Governance and shortage Management: Challenges and Priorities”, focusing especially on the Moroccan skills abroad.

The Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) organized, on Saturday 17 September 2022, a meeting about " good governance in the management of water resources: what policies and measures to deal with the water shortage and climate change? This event is part of a consultation series with Moroccan experts in the field of water, climate change and renewable energy.

Mr Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) and Mr Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, President of Bayt Mal Al Qods Acharif Agency, inaugurated on Wednesday 27 July 2022 in Rabat, the exhibition "Al Qods and Palestine in the Correspondences and Speeches of the Commander of the Faithful".

Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) chaired, on Monday 25 July 2022 at the Council's headquarters in Rabat, a consultation meeting to address the issue of the participation of Moroccan medical skills abroad in the development of the healthcare system in Morocco. This encounter, attended by several Moroccan doctors and professors from various countries, was held within the framework of the dynamics of the national healthcare project under the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, reflecting the framework law presented by the Minister of Health and Social Protection on the national healthcare system.
