The publishing house Dar Al-Aman, located in Rabat, recently released the Arabic translation of the novel “Ciel sans détours” by Kébir Mustapha Ammi, a Franco-Moroccan novelist and poet, originally published in French in 2007 by Gallimard-Paris.
The Arabic translation was carried out under the direction of poet and translator Abderrahim Hozel. The 366-page novel, in a medium format, features a cover artwork by artist Jacques Paris.
The novel tells the story of Fadila, a free and courageous woman whose journey is intertwined with the history of Morocco, from the early years of French occupation to the 1990s. Despite the hardships she endured, Fadila managed to overcome them and became a strong woman without ever giving up.
Kébir Mustapha Ammi is the author of several works exploring themes of multiculturalism and openness to others, including “Partage du monde” (1999), “Fille du vent” (2002), “Évocation de Hallaj” (2003), “Sur les traces d’Augustin” (2007), “Vertus sales” (2009), “Mardoshi” (2011), and his latest novel “À la recherche des paillettes Faraday” (2023), published under the title “À la recherche de Glitter Faraday”.
