The Parisian Montaigne Institute (Liberal) has recently published a report on Islam in France titled : “A French Islam is possible.” In this report, the French think tank makes proposals to the groundwork of a « French Islam ».
The proposals include among others, pulling the islam of France out of the minority, elect a Grand Imam of France to lead the intellectual and theological work intended to pave the way for a French Islam, teach classical Arabic in public schools to reduce the appeal of Arabic classes in Koranic schools and mosques and create a Secretary for religious Affairs and Secularism, under the guidance of the Prime Minister.
The report is the result the Ifop survey Institute for the French Think Tank.
