The Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) organized, Monday, February 10, 2020 a meeting where the book “Morocco in Swiss and German eyes” by Mr Redouane Daoui, published in 2020 by the Council.

The German-language author, translator and professor raised the issue – the content of his book- with the researcher and professor Khalid Ettouzany. The discussion was moderated by Mr. Ahmed Ayaou, a CCME member living in Germany.

He focused on the Swiss and German intellectuals in Morocco, as well as the Moroccan and Arab readers to their writings, through old and new texts. The book relies on the accomplishments of comparative cultural studies and recent German studies.

Three main subjects discussed are critical reading, critical study and translation. The ambition of the author to try to restore a link in the dialogue through history, between Switzerland and Germany and Morocco on the other hand.
