Leïla Bahsaïn is a Franco-Moroccan writer born in Salé. She is a graduate of ISCAE and holds a Master’s degree in management from the University of Besançon, where she has lived for around 20 years. She has authored several short stories published in the literary journal Apulée by Zulma Editions, as well as in collective publications.

Her debut novel, Le Ciel sous nos pas (The Sky Beneath Our Feet), won the European and Mediterranean Book Prize and the Méditerranée First Novel Prize in 2019. It was also shortlisted for about ten literary awards.
