Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), received Wednesday on March 16 th 2016, at the siege of Council in Rabat, Mr. Ally Coulibaly, Minister of African Integration of Ivory Coast. The minister was accompanied by Mr. Issiaka Konate, CEO of Ivorians living in foreign countries.
During the meeting, Mr. Boussouf presented his condolences to the Ivorian people following the attacks of Grand-Bassam: “These terrorist acts have nothing to do with Islam, which is a religion of life and peace. “
The Secretary general added: “It was time to meet again since the signing of the agreement between the CCME and the ministry of African Integration of Ivory Coast a year ago” saying that it is time to “move forward and in the right direction”. He also reiterated the commitment of the CCME to his Ivorian partners because “immigration is facing the same challenges”. Mr. Boussouf stated that the “CCME’s mission is achieved through its scientific expertise on migration and independence”.
For his part, Mr. Coulibaly said he was touched by “the spirit of solidarity started as usual by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and that all Moroccans demonstrated after the attack in Ivory Coast.
“If there is a country on which the Ivory Coast can count, it is Morocco and we are proud and conscious of that” said the Ivorian Minister, adding that the Moroccan-Ivorian cooperation is active and works well: “His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Alassane Ouattara have paved the way: the framework has been defined by the agreement that our two institutions have signed and it is up to us to implement our technical and human resources for the future of our peoples.”
Mr Coulibaly has also expressed his deep appreciation to the CCME for its support, especially in the organization of the first forum of the Ivorian diaspora: “We have found in you a wise and committed partner, recognized for its independence and expertise “.
“We also realized, through your rich experience that the Ivorians living abroad, are a chance for our country and are trying to learn how they can contribute to the economic recovery of their country” he said.
The Ivorian delegation is in Morocco for one week.
