This year, the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) presents a rich and diverse program at the SIEL book fair, featuring more than 70 events and welcoming 170 guests from 15 countries. Writers, poets, academics, filmmakers, photographers, and visual artists will gather to exchange ideas, engage in dialogue, and celebrate culture in all its forms.
Beyond the fairgrounds, the CCME is also organizing a series of cultural activities, including a photography exhibition, poetry evenings, and film screenings centered on migration.
The focus of this year’s edition is on women’s writing in the diaspora, spotlighting a new generation of Moroccan female authors who are making their voices heard in multiple languages across the globe. A number of tributes are also planned to honor Moroccan figures who have left a mark on the international cultural scene.
In addition, the fair will showcase literary works by Moroccan authors based in Belgium—publications supported by the CCME—as part of the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Belgian-Moroccan labor agreement.
