Several years ago, Hajar Azil undertook a life-changing experience as a young woman. During the course of this experience, she visited several countries in North Africa and the Middle East, which she documented in her second novel, entitled “le sens de l’évasion” (The sense of escape), published February 20.
The novel has taken her a decade to write, during which she has sought to describe the feelings of a generation of “revolutions” in the region.
