The Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) is taking part from May 3rd to 7th 2017, to the Tangiers International Books and Arts fair organized by the « Tanger Région Culturelle » association and the French cultural institute at the « Palais des Institutions italiennes ». “What freedom for youth?” is the topic of this 21st edition of the Book Fair.
During a round table related to the “Moroccan youth of the cosmopolitan world in a world of seclusion”, Mr Youssef Haji, in charge of the CCME, listed the many actions taken by the Council towards young people, principally in backing research, publication and funding micro-projects of young Moroccans “.
Mrs Malika El Alaoui, Vice President of Attac-Morocco, stressed the singularity of the CCME within the Moroccan institutional landscape, saying that “the Council brings a fresh impulse to the cultural issues of the young Moroccans living abroad “.
Youth workshops will continue throughout the fair with Moufdi Talbi, a young illustrator of the CCME with the Council’s game “Moroccan Migrants and Travelers” under the supervision of Mr. Abdallah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council. The texts are written by Mr Youssef Haji.
The International Tangier Book and Arts Fair assembles writers, sociologists, philosophers and artists from France and Morocco,
