A ceremony was held Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in Dubai for the opening of a new Consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco. Several Moroccan and foreign personalities, and a large number of members of the Moroccan community living in the United Arab Emirates, assisted to this opening.
In a speech during the ceremony, Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, Secretary General of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), said how important the moroccan community abroad meant to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and how active He was when it came to improve their conditions.
For his part, Mr. Mohamed Bernoussi, The new Consul general of the Kingdom in Dubai, said that the opening of the new Consulate and the launch of the application called “My consulate is in my pocket”, is part of the implementation of high royal instructions.
He added , that this new smart app, now adopted by the Consulate General in Dubai, is the first diplomatic initiative of its kind at the rdiplomatic missions of the Kingdom abroad.
The event was marked by the launch of the “Consulate smart” application that will allow members of the Moroccan community to benefit from a number of consular administrative services, as consular registration and the receipt the national identity card and passport through smart phones, in addition to receiving notices through text messages informing them of the status of the processing of their applications and their files.
The opening of the new consulate in Dubai coincided with an exhibition of the Moroccan Driss Rahoui calligrapher, organized with the support of the CCME
