The twelfth Franco-Moroccan meeting of Heads of Government held in Paris May 28, 2015 under the joint chairmanship of Messrs. Manuel Valls and Abdelilah Benkiran announces new perspectives for the social rights’ issue that affect Moroccan pensioners residing in France.
The Declaration of the high level meeting, stipulates in its section on social issues (paragraph 62) that "The French side will consider the Moroccan proposal to establish a working group on the portability of social rights of Moroccan retirees wishing to sustainably settle in Morocco. ".
The CCME welcomes the commitment of the French side to consider creating a working group, proposed by the Moroccan side, in order to resolve difficulties encountered by our elderly immigrants compatriots residing in France and facilitate their mobility or their return to Morocco guaranteeing the right to benefits they receive and the related rights thereto.
