Moroccan Imams invited to conduct 'Tarawih' prayers in Dubai

The Department of Islamic Affairs and charitable works - iacad, under the government of Dubai, is organizing an internationalization of tarawih prayer program, which would allow faithful of the emirate to discover recitations from the Koran styles of other countries in the world.

Thus, at the Rashidiya mosque, the largest in Dubai that can accommodate more than 10,000 worshipers, Moroccan imams were invited to take part in this international program, in order to conduct the tarawih prayers and recite the Quran in Moroccan style.

According to the newspaper Khaleej Times, each Moroccan imam has the right to conduct tarawih for two consecutive nights.

Imams from other countries were also invited to Dubai, among them Saudi, Kuwaitis, Bahrainis and Yemenis.
