Marouane El Hamdouni started since Saturday, 25 July, a journey of twenty days through Europe to collect funds to support humanitarian associations that help children in Morocco.

A native of Casablanca, aged 30, Marouane has been living in Dubai for three years and is preparing to travel approximately 14,000 km. First step: Italy, before leaving for Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, and finally Morocco.

"The idea came to me in 2009, after a tour of Morocco in a car with friends. We visited rural areas from the Atlas to Erfoud and Errachidia, and we encountered people with very simple lives, but yet very generous and welcoming, even though they had almost nothing, "says Marouane El Morocco Hamdouni to Moroccan Press.

After half a year of preparation and straightening out some visa issues which forced him to change his travel itinerary, the young biker is about to embark on European roads for this tour called "Make Them Smile".

Financially, sponsors helped him develop his project, which will allow him to make contact with several humanitarian groups, such as UNICEF or Africa Contact in Denmark.

The "world traveler", who created a Facebook page for this event won’t be stopping to this point. "This is the first step of a journey around the world.

The second stage will go from Morocco to Dubai via South Africa" he says. An opportunity also to promote Morocco abroad.
