Social benefits : Netherlands and Morocco reach an agreement

The Moroccan and  Dutch governement reached an agreement on the the 30th october 2015, on cutting widows’ and orphans’ benefits paid to relatives living in Morocco.

They also decided that  Moroccan nationals living in the Netherlands will stop getting child benefits for children living in Morocco  at the beginning of 2021.

The current agreements were included in the  1972 but the Nethelands decided in a first place to update unilateraly, the threaty.  The goal : reducing benefits to local standards of living. Most changes will be implemented in stages next year for new claimants.
