Sunday, 15 November 2015

On Friday night 13th November 2015, an act of terrorism hit Paris in various sites, leaving over one hundred and twenty-nine deaths and over four hundred injuries of innocent civilians.

The Council for the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) strongly condemns and deplores that heinous and callous terrorist act, which blatantly violates human values.

The CCME extends its condolences and solidarity for the families of the victims. This demonstrates the support by the Council and the Moroccan community abroad to French government and people in this critical circumstance.

In the same vein, the CCME calls upon all the associations and institutions, representing the Moroccan, Arab and Muslim community worldwide to show solidarity with the victims and express, in words and deeds, the values of tolerance, coexistence, and loyalty to their countries of residence to enrich and better serve human values.

Moreover, the CCME urges France and all the states worldwide not to be dragged into reactions that will serveblind terrorism, which is not an attribute of any religion. Likewise, the CCME calls upon the international community not to spare any efforts in order to curb the conditions that make terrorism thrive.

The Republic of France was and will always be a country of unity, coexistence and attachment to the values of liberty, equality, fraternity.
