The Moroccan artist Mustapha Zoufri realized a monument named "Flame of Hope" which will be raised in  Molenbeek (Saint John), in tribute to the victims of the attacks of Paris and Brussels. The work was carried on in partnership with the Council for the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME).

The huge Momument of Mustapha Zoufri is a superposition of words,  imaginary and abstract language. The Cuboid is made of stainless steel. It will be fixed early November at the headquarters of the the Beligian municipality of Molenbeek. Its goal is to symbolize togetherness and the spirit of tolerance that has always symbolised social relations in Brussels.

"This sculpture was originally scheduled to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moroccan immigration in Belgium, but then occured the attacks in Paris and Brussels those who altered our lives " said Mr. Zoufri to the Moroccan Press Agency (MAP)

"I live in this town since a long time. Molenbeek suffered from these attacks and this monument is a chant of life. "A flame of hope » said the Moroccan artist who defends an art that" must not remain in the galleries but serve as a message to the youngsters".

This monument is '' a way to say no to terrorism, no to these misguided youth who become radicalized and commit crimes against innocent people "added Mr Zoufri.

Winner of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and the School of Visual Arts in Mons, Mustapha Zoufri 57, has worked on the Arab-Muslim and Moorish mosaic.

"Flame of Hope" required more than six months of work and a ton of steel.
