Mr. Anouar Kbibech, President of the CFCM, laureate of the Galilee Peace Prize for Inter-Religious Dialogue

The President of the "French Council of Muslim Faith" (CFCM), Mr. Anouar KBIBECH, was nominated laureate of the Galilee Peace Prize for the Inter-Religious Dialogue for the year 2016.

The distinction "Premio Galileo 2000 Foundation"  was handed over to Mr. Anouar KBIBECH on Wednesday 23 November 2016 during an official ceremony in Florence, Italy.

This award welcomes the work of Mr. Anouar KBIBECH and that of the CFCM in the service of Islam and Muslims in France.

It also crowns the efforts to strengthen the conditions for better "living together" among the different components of society, including through commitment to interreligious dialogue.

Mr. Anouar KBIBECH was born in 1961 in Meknès (Morocco). He is a graduate of the French « Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées » (1987). He is currently Director of a Telecommunications Operator.

Mr. Anouar KBIBECH became Secretary General of the CFCM in June 2008 and then Vice-President of the CFCM in June 2013.

He is also President of the French Muslim Union (RMF) and a founding member of the "Conference of Religious Leaders in France" (CRCF). He is currently a member of the "National Advisory Committee of Human Rights" (CNCDH).
