Moroccan Days in Bulgaria: Culture and heritage in the spotlight

Moroccan Days in Bulgaria will be organized from 17 to 30 November 2014 to honor the various facets of culture and heritage of Morocco.

This event entitled "Days Moroccans in Bulgaria", organized by the Embassy of Morocco in Bulgaria, will be an opportunity for the Bulgarians to discover the culture and rich heritage of the Kingdom in its different facets.

The kickoff of these days will be given by the Minister of Handicraft and Social economy, Fatima Marwan who will inaugurate for the occasion a 800 m2 pavilion dedicated to Moroccan craftsmanship at the most prestigious Bulgarian mall, "Paradise center".

This major exhibition entitled "Crafts and Moroccan art of living" will have the local and cosmopolitan public of the Bulgarian capital experience the extraordinary richness of Moroccan crafts and art that showcase both the historical depth of Morocco and its evolution towards modernity.

In addition to this new exhibition, organized by the House of the artisan, the pavilion will house during ten days an information and tourist entertainment stand, installed in partnership with the Moroccan Regional Directory for Eastern Europe (ONMT).

For its part, the Agency for the promotion and development of the North will install a stand dedicated to the products of women's cooperatives and will also exhibit on this occasion, books highlighting some achievements of Morocco's territorial and human development and modernization infrastructure, particularly through the experience of agency.

Several other events are also scheduled including a concert by soprano Samira Kadiri at the concert hall of the Bulgarian National Assembly, the screening of the film, "Horses of God," directed by Nabil Ayouch, a fashion show and discovery of Moroccan cuisine held in a hotel in Sofia.

The closing of this event will be held in Plovdiv, the second largest Bulgarian city and economic capital of the country. A joint workshop between the Bulgarian and Moroccan craftsmen and a show of Gnaoua music are to expect. With Map
