A recent report on centers of detention revealed that the number of illegal immigrants detained throughout the French territory amounts to more than 45 thousand people.
The report produced by Simad Association who advocates for illegal migrants’ rights highlighted that the number of immigrants who were deported during the year 2013 to their countries of origin amounted to 44.450 people, up by more than 5 thousand people, compared with 2012.
Regarding the number of Moroccans who are in immigration detention centers in France, the report revealed their presence in 2644 centers, which represents 12 per cent of all illegal immigrants detained.
