AMPA: Moroccans in the United States ready to contribute to the development of the Kingdom

The Association of Moroccans Professionals in America(AMPA) a platform with hundreds of Moroccan established in the country reiterated its willingness to contribute to the economic development of the Kingdom and the promotion of bilateral relations.

The members of this association, some of which have taken part in the World Summit on Entrepreneurship (GES-2014), held from November 19 to 21 in Marrakech, are active in the United States in several areas, including new technologies within major companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, or Apple. They also work for US companies in the financial sector, agribusiness and renewable energy.

Despite their different backgrounds, the AMPA members are driven by a common belief: to their knowledge, expertise and experience acquired in the United States in the service of their country of origin, Morocco, not only in the associative framework but also in partnership with the state and the private sector.

Being skilled in different areas, the members are very attached to their homeland and have a strong desire to contribute to the development of Morocco, through value-added projects that have a direct impact on the Moroccan market and promotion of Moroccan-American relations, said in this regard, the president of AMPA, Chaouki Zahzah.

He stressed the need to develop projects taking into account the skills of Moroccans living in the United States in various fields, calling to exploit all their possibilities and potential.

Mr. Zahzah was convinced that several opportunities for exchange and bilateral cooperation will be born out of this creative energy that animates the Moroccan Diaspora in the United States.

Referring to the participation of AMPA to GES-2014, he said it has focused on different aspects, noting that several members moved to Marrakech to assist the organizing team and others attended the summit as panelists.

The AMPA works in the areas of networking, and development of the professional careers of Moroccans living in the United States.
