Tribute to five Moroccans in recognition of their role in the development process in Qatar

The Embassy of Morocco in Qatar held Monday night at the Diplomatic Club in Doha, a tribute ceremony to five deans of Moroccan immigrants living in this country in recognition of their important role in the development process of the Gulf State.

This tribute is part of the initiatives of the Embassy of Morocco in Qatar with the aim of a better recognition of these Moroccans who spent over 30 years in Qatar and have made efforts in regards to the Moroccan-Qatari diplomatic Relations.

The honors went to Mohamed Rafai, judge of the Court of Appeal in Doha, Abderrazak Abid, head of selections from the Qatari Olympic Committee, Lhadi Benhida responsible within the service of visa at the French Embassy in Doha, Mohamed Douiri, artistic secretary of the club business to Qatari athletics union and Albdelmajid Ouamren, associative actor who provided support to members of the Moroccan community in difficult circumstances.

This initiative goes together with the importance and solicitude HM King Mohammed VI continues to surround the members of the Moroccan community living abroad, said on this occasion, the Ambassador of Morocco in Doha, Mekki Kaouan.

For their part, the honorees emphasized that the ceremony was an opportunity to strengthen relationships of solidarity and brotherhood among the members of the Moroccan community in Qatar and preserve the values and Moroccan identity.
