Quebec: Morocco, champion of Alpine skiing

Representing Morocco, the two young Moroccan-Canadian skiers, Adam and Sami Lamhamedi, members of the National Alpine Ski Team, won three medals in slalom and giant slalom competitions of the "Super Series Sports Experts" of the international Ski Federation (FIS).

In the senior category, Adam (19 years, U21 category) won a bronze medal in slalom, while in the U18 category, Sami (17 years) won a gold medal in slalom and a silver medal in giant slalom.

Both competitions for slalom and giant slalom were held respectively in Mont Saint-Sauveur and Tremblant, two ski resorts in the province of Quebec, from 20 to 23 December 2014. They were attended by 133 skiers in slalom and 123 skiers in giant slalom.

Olympic champion and gold medalist at the Winter Olympic Youth Games (Innsbruck, Austria in 2012), Adam Lamhamedi was decorated by King Mohammed VI at the feast of throne in 2012, with the Ouissam reward of national order of an officer.
