Following the gruesome terrorist attack on satirical newspaper "Charlie Hebdo" on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Paris, the Council of the Moroccan community abroad (CCME) strongly condemns this revolting act of violence, and stands with the international community in mourning the loss of twelve people, including journalists and several security forces.
We also extend, as journalists, condolences to the families of the victims and to France in general, which was the first and still is the major destination of Moroccan migration known to respect the values of tolerance and co-existence and the principles of the society in which it lives.
As a mark of solidarity, we share this artwork which we received from Moroccan Artist resident in Belgium, Mustafa Alzofri, who wanted to express, artistically, his condemnation and rejection of violence against freedom of expression.
