Monday, 12 January 2015

The international firm Henley & Partners, a global leader in the planning of the residence and citizenship, has just published its latest report on the 2014 index visa restrictions.

Produced in collaboration with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), this index reveals which passport is good to have in 2014.

Indeed, some passports entitle their owners to visit without visas many countries like the Finnish German, Swedish, American and English passports. Ranked first in the world, these passports allow visa-free travel in 174 countries around the world. France, Spain, Italy and Japan in particular come in third.

Morocco, meanwhile, was 73 of 94 with 55 destinations that do not require a visa worldwide. This is a light leap for the Moroccan passport this year that offers the opportunity to visit four national countries more than in 2013. Thus, the Moroccan passport holder can travel freely in these countries, without being forced to complete formalities sometimes impossible, for obtaining visas. Morocco ranks the same as United Armenia, Burkina Faso and Mauritania.

Tunisians place first In the Maghreb (66st country in the world) with 64 countries they can visit without visas. Morocco ranks second followed by Egypt (48 destinations permitted without visas). Finally, Algeria comes in the 82nd place with the possibility for its citizens to visit 46 countries in the world.

In the Arab world, nine nations dominate the rankings with over 50 countries their citizens can visit without a visa; Kuwait (78), the UAE (77), Qatar (75), Bahrain (69), Oman (66), Saudi Arabia (65), Tunisia (62), Morocco (55) and Mauritania (55). Egyptian passport closes the top ten with 48 visa-free locations, directly followed by the Algerian passport with 46 free- travel countries.
