Baroness Anelay of St John’s, Minister of State in charge of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, praised, on Thursday, Morocco’s “exemplary” migration policy based on a humanistic approach.

“The migration policy initiated by Morocco is exemplary and deserves to be supported by the European countries,” said the British official, on a working visit to the Kingdom.

In a meeting with the Minister in charge of the Moroccan expatriate community and migration affairs, Anis Birou, the Baroness said that Morocco and the United Kingdom share the same views and positions on the management of migration flows.

She also praised Morocco’s decision to regularize the situation of illegal immigrants, highlighting the strategy mapped out by the Kingdom for the socio-professional integration of immigrants so they can be active components in the Moroccan society.
