Morocco-EU: Negotiations to facilitate the granting of visas

Talks between Morocco and the European Union are scheduled Monday and Tuesday in Rabat for the implementation of the agreement signed in June 2013, to facilitate the movement of people and goods between the two sides.

According to Assabah newspaper, in its edition of Monday, January 19, among the issues on the agenda is the question of facilitating the granting of visas to Moroccans for access to the Schengen area. Morocco and the European Union agree to strengthen their cooperation on migration policy. Assabah further reveals that the Moroccan and European officials will discuss ways to improve services at the diplomatic missions in the kingdom and to facilitate the granting of Schengen visas for Moroccans. "Likewise, the newspaper said, the two sides will explore aspects related to communication in order to improve the means to better inform Moroccan citizens on the conditions of regular migration and visa applications.

Moroccan and European leaders also will discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two sides regarding their mutual recognition of university degrees and vocational training. "
