Moroccan workers in agriculture protest in Murcia

Hundreds of Moroccan immigrants in Spain, who work in agriculture, took to the street to protest various forms of exploitation in an event organized by the Union of Spanish Workers' Commissions, one of the largest unions in Spain.

The event took place on Sunday, January 25, in Murcia (southern Spain) outside the headquarters of the regional government.

Moroccan immigrants, alongside those from Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa, have chanted slogans against exploitation, sexual harassment, long working hours and precarious sector workers agricultural.

According to the union of the Spanish Workers' Commissions, among the reasons for the participation of Moroccan workers in the event; the refusal of local authorities of applications for renewal of residence permits and family reunification.
