The Foundation "Ibn Battuta" inaugurated this Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in Barcelona, its cultural center with an exhibition of Moroccan painter Abdellatif Zine entitled "dialogue of cultures and civilizations."
"This cultural center will be a space for exchange and cultural dialogue between Moroccans in Catalonia and Spain in general," said Mohammed Chaib, president of the Ibn Battuta Foundation, stating that "it is time to replace the term immigrant 'with that of' people 'for short. "
"This space crowns several years of work of the Foundation for cultural and social dialogue between young Moroccans and Catalan," added Mr. Chaib.
The inauguration ceremony was attended, among others by the Mayor of Barcelona, Xavier Trias, the Moroccan consul in Barcelona, Mr. Fares Yassir and Driss Ajbali, a leading member of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME).
