SIEL 2015: A rich and varied program offered by the CCME

Workshops around the issue of citizenship and living together will be organized for schoolchildren in Casablanca and other cities.

A tribute evening will be dedicated to the emigrant Moroccan women of the first generation in recognition of their role in the education of current generations of Moroccans of the world.

The Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) organizes its participation in the 21st edition of the International Publishing and Book  fair in Casablanca (SIEL 2015) under the theme: "Migration, diversity, citizenship: the challenge of living together. "

"By choosing to place its participation in the 21st edition of SIEL Casablanca under this theme, the CCME takes the opportunity to return to the subject of identity tensions that have reached unprecedented significance to the point that a famous author scored a Best-Seller and evoked openly the possibility of the deportation 5 million Muslims, "said the Council in a statement.

Thus, a rich and diverse program will be in place during the 10 days of the event, organized around the theme chosen for this year, including three exhibitions that embellish the facades of the stand, to accommodate the image and expressive speech visitors. The stand also hosts a space for dialogue, in which will be discussed issues related to Moroccan migration and the theme of this edition, with the participation of renowned thinkers and actors in the migratory field worldwide.

Also on the program, meetings allowing a set of intellectuals, researchers and media professionals to discuss about books published by the CCME on the occasion of this edition, as well as a space dedicated to the presentation of the new books published by world Moroccan national issues around migration.
