King Mohammed VI delivered a speech before both houses of the parliament on Friday at the opening of the first session of the fourth legislative year of the 9th legislature.

Here follows the full text of the speech delivered by the Moroccan monarch.

The council of the government, presided by the Head of Government Abdelilah Benkirane convened on Thursday, October 9, 2014 in Rabat to adopt the draft law on assets and cash held abroad by Moroccans living abroad (MRE) transferring residence in Morocco.

Morocco's ambassador to France, Chakib Benmoussa, proceded on behalf of his majesty King Mohammed VI on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in Paris, to the decoration with Wissam Al Arch of the order of Chevalier, of Mr Gabriel Malka, a specialist in maxillofacial surgery, and Mr Said El Asri, who distinguished himself in the field of restaurants and hotels in France.

In attendance were Mr. André Azoulay, Advisor to His Majesty the King, and other Moroccan and French personalities from diverse backgrounds.

Mr Benmoussa said that these royal honors are a tribute to exceptional careers and undeniable professional and human qualities and are a celebration of the success of these two Moroccans in France, working in two different and complex areas.
