To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Eugène Delacroix Circle, an association of French elected representatives of Moroccan descent, organized, on Thursday 28 November 2024 in the French Senate in Paris, the 3rd France-Maroc Electors Forum on the theme: “Ecological Transformation in Territorial Regions: Cross-cutting Visions’: Crossed Visions”.
Addressing a seminar at the forum on the theme ‘’Engaging Diasporas in Environmental Transformation”, Mr.Driss El Yazami, the head of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) said there is a need to ensure decentralized cooperation as part of the history of Moroccan migration, which extends back over more than a century.
He pointed out that the key factor contributing to a positive outcome of these initiatives remains awareness of the current reform dynamic taking place in Morocco, and the need for Moroccans living abroad to share their experiences.
Mr.El Yazami added, the diaspora helps strengthen the links between the country of residence and the country of origin saying success of diaspora initiatives depends on the dynamics of reforms currently taking place in Morocco, as well as the pooling of the experiences of the world's Moroccans.
