Thursday, 17 October 2024

Mr. Driss El Yazami, president of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) took part at the seminar on innovation and economic competitiveness at the second edition of the National Day of Industry, organized in Benguerir under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, on Wednesday 16 October 2024. The event was organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the General Federation of Moroccan Enterprises (FGME) under the theme: “A strategy for the future”.

Speaking at the event, Mr. El Yazami said: “Moroccans are contributing to global development , as demonstrated by the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, which has attracted Moroccan talents from abroad”. He then stressed that “the shifts in migration nowadays raise challenges, including competition to attract human resources not only the highly trained but also those with average training. He added: “in addition to the migration policies that European countries set to bring in migrants despite the common impression that these countries are against migration”.

The evolution of the Moroccan diaspora, both in terms of continued demographic growth in the countries of residence and globalization -while maintaining ties with Morocco- according to the President of the CCME, it is important to preserve part of the national human resources by addressing the issue of: why are they leaving Morocco? And “at the same time not blame Moroccan competencies involved in a global career mobility and search for new opportunities, but rather what Morocco can offer them” he added.
