On the sidelines of the 13th annual international conference of the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) "The Atlantic Dialogues", Ms Vallaud-Belkacem, former French Minister of Education, in an interview with MAP, said: ‘What I have noticed recently is that more and more Moroccans living abroad are deciding to come back and settle in Morocco’. And she added: ‘This reflects the country's development, its influence and the increasingly important place it occupies on the international stage".
In this interview, the former minister also highlighted the importance of the ‘Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME)’, which "is an avant-garde institution aimed at maintaining links, raising the profile and increasing the influence of Moroccans throughout the world".
In this respect, she pointed out that ‘’a double phenomenon‘’ exists, with Moroccans living abroad deciding to return to Morocco on the one hand, and Moroccans born in the Kingdom moving abroad on the other.
