Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez's meetings on the Alliance of Civilisations are being held on 6 and 7 December 2024, on the theme ‘Rebuilding trust and improving the state of the world’.
This year's theme comes ‘’through a belief in the capacity for collective action to re-establish confidence in the future, to consolidate trust within societies and revive trust as a key basis for cooperation between Nations", says a conference paper published by the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMU).
The programme also includes a symposium on “Migration and International Cooperation: Towards harmonious and more humane migration policies”, featuring Mr. Driss El Yazami, the President of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), James Holyfield, holder of the Ora Nixon Arnold Chair in International Political Economy and Director of the Tower Centre at Southern Methodist University in the United States and Laura Palatini, Head of Mission of the International Organisation for Migration in Morocco; Zakaria Aboueldahab, Professor at Mohammed V University in Rabat; Catherine Vettel de Winden, Honorary Research Director at the National Centre for Scientific Research, France; Martina Kvajner, Professor at the University of Trento, Italy; and Fiona B. Adamson, Professor at the University of London. Fiona P.
